About our Board

The Board of Directors of The Williamson Museum serves as the governing body, providing both governance and financial responsibility for the 501(c)(3) organization. The directors represent communities throughout the county, serving a three-year term. Board members volunteer, fundraise and promote the museum.

  Kerry Russell, 2nd Vice President
Kerry Russell is a Georgetown environmental attorney who is a fourth generation Williamson County resident. Mr. Russell's Stubblefield ancestors were among the first settlers in the Liberty Hill area. Along with serving on the Williamson Museum's Board, Mr. Russell also serves on the board of the Williamson County and Cities Health District and the Liberty Hill Cemetery Association.
   Joyce Hinds
Shortly after retiring from a career in teaching in 2005, Joyce Hinds began volunteering at the Williamson Museum, serving as a docent, writer, and tour guide, and then joining the Board of Directors in 2006. A graduate of Liberty Hill High School, Abilene Christian University (B.A.), University of Texas at Arlington (M.A.), and Oklahoma State University (Ph.D.), she taught composition and literature on the college level for more than thirty years, before moving to Georgetown. Her work at the Museum has included a three-year stint as secretary to the Board as well as fund-raising projects and special events.
   Dwight Henn
A retired educator from Ohio by way of Kentucky, Dwight Henn has enjoyed an array of educational assignments- high school science (department chair), but also college teaching, coaching and a year in third grade. He was a superintendent of schools in both Ohio and Kentucky for his last 25 years. He completed his doctorate at the University of Cincinnati. He relocated to Georgetown in 2003. In addition to serving on the Williamson Museum board, Dr. Henn has also served as an office and/or board member in Faith in Action Caregivers, Senior University, and San Gabriel Presbyterian Church.
   Judge Doug Arnold
A sixth-generation Texan, Doug Arnold currently serves as the presiding judge of County Court-at-Law No.3 in Williamson County. Judge Arnold and his family have resided in Georgetown since 1998. In addition to his service on the Board of Directors of the Museum, Judge Arnold serves on the Board of Directors of the Georgetown Dribblers youth basketball oganization.
Mr. Arnold received his law degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He has a B.A. degree in History from the University of Texas at Austin.
In his spare time, Judge Arnold enjoys sports, reading, and following his children's activities.
  Michael Kelley
Michael Kelley is a five-year resident of Georgetown, and a 7th generation Texan. He is professor of government for Central Texas College and an adjunct professor of government for Austin Community College. Prior to teaching, Michael served 10 years at the Texas Department of Public Safety as Chief of Government Relations and Assistant Director for driver licensing, eight years for three state senators at the state capitol, and three years on active duty in the U.S. Army including combat duty in Operation Desert Storm. Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Texas A&M University and a Master of Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin.
  Joe Savage
Joe Savage is a 32 year resident of Williamson County, residing the first 20 just west of Granger, and the remaining 12 split between Florence, Sun City, and now, Georgetown. He has three adult children, all in the Georgetown area, touting two grandsons. Joe is an entrepreneur, having owned and operated multiple businesses, and still doing so. His goal is to make this county a better place to live and raise families, now and forever. He has served on the Board of the Museum since it opened.
