What is the Salon???
The Salon is gathering of people, who meet partly for amusement and partly to increase their knowledge through conversation. This Salon program is hosted by The Williamson Museum with once-a-month presentations (second Wednesday of every month) by leading professionals and researchers in their respective fields. The presentations will be followed by opportunities to mix and mingle with like-minded people.
The Salon is an event where anyone can participate in topical discussions with leaders in the fields of science, history, art, archaeology and technology, among other topics. These monthly talks are held in the banquet room of Wildfire Restaurant and promote discussion of diverse topics in an informal community setting.
No PowerPoint. No technical jargon. Just open, easy-to-understand conversation.
Admission is free for the presentation, with refreshments offered by Wildfire Restaurant pay-as-go before and after the formal presentation.
Note: If you’d like to order drinks and/or food, we will suggest that you arrive early (say, 6:00 pm) so that your order has been placed and food/drinks delivered to your table before the program starts. In addition, you have the option of ordering a meal to be ready for you immediately following the presentation. Wildfire will reserve at table for those who wish to eat after the Salon has finished.
