Scary Ghosts of the Georgetown Square!

Join us for a ghastly good time! If you like our Ghosts of the Georgetown Square tour, join us for a new, scarier version of our tours! On All Hallows Eve (Friday, October 31st) we will have an interactive Scary Ghost of the Georgetown Square leaving at 8:00 pm and 9:30 pm. Tickets are $15 for non-museum members and $12 for members. Purchase your tickets today at the museum, or by phone (512-943-1670)! 

Who We Are

The Williamson Museum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and proceeds benefit the museum's educational programing. The  Museum offers free and exciting hands-on educational programs to the public through innovative exhibits, tours and outreach.  We also host the following annual events: "Chisholm Trail Days" at San Gabriel Park and "Pioneer Day" at Old Settlers Park.
October 31-November 1, 7-8, 14-15, 21-22, 28-29 - FREE Courthouse Tours

Meet at the Museum and get set up with some of our wonderful tour guides and take a trip back in time as you tour our historic County Courthouse. Tours start at 1:30, 2:30 & 3:30pm on Friday, 1:30 & 3:30 pm on Saturday. Tours are free, last about 45 minutes and are handicapped accessible. Please call ahead if you have a party of 7 or more, or to schedule a private tour 512-943-1670.

***Only one tour at 1:30 pm on Friday, November 7th due to a Courthouse Event Rental***

October 1 - November 1- Chisholm Trail Days Photo Exhibit
Local photographer Susan Gomez shares photographs on the theme of Chisholm Trail Days in honor of our Chisholm Trail Day event the third weekend of October.  
October 31- Scary Ghosts of the Georgetown Square
Want a little more fright in your ghost tour? Join us for a limited edition scary version of Ghosts of the Georgetown Square on All Hallows Eve! Tours will leave the museum at 8:00 pm and 9:30 pm. Tickets are available for purchase at the museum or by phone (512-943-1670). Cost is $12 for museum members and $15 for non-members. 
November 7- First Friday
Stop by the Museum on First Friday between 6 pm and 8 pm for light bites and to check out our new Artifact of the Month!  
November 8- Hands on History
Celebrate Thanksgiving with Williamson County citizens of the past. Thanksgiving is a holiday to give thanks, come to the museum and listen to stories of families from the county and what they had to be thankful for from Pioneer times to World War II.  Children will make Thanksgiving place-mats. This is a free, come and go event between 10 am and 2 pm. 
November 8- Southwestern Cemetery Tales
Interested in learning about the people who helped make Southwestern University into the institution it is today? Join us for our Southwestern themed Cemetery Tour at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Georgetown on Saturday, November 8th, between 4 pm and 6 pm. Tickets are available at the Museum or by phone (512-943-1670) for this self-guided, self-paced tour!  
November 12- The Salon at Wildfire
Join us for this month's Salon at Wildfire where Pastor Haverlah will speak on Anna's Journey: One Woman's Tale of Immigration from Sweden and Pioneer Life in Round Rock. The talk begins at 6:30 pm, but arrive early as seating is limited.
