WWII Comes to Williamson County

Our newest exhibit, WWII Comes to Williamson County opens Friday, May 24th. We hope to see you there!

We will also be open Monday, May 27th, on Memorial Day from 11 am - 2 pm.

Who We Are

The Williamson Museum offers free and exciting hands-on educational programs to the public through innovative exhibits, tours and outreach.  We also host the following annual events: "Chisholm Trail Days" at San Gabriel Park, "Pioneer Day" at Old Settlers Park, and "Archeology Day" at Berry Springs Park & Preserve.

May 24-25, 31- June 1 - FREE Courthouse Tours
Meet at the Museum and get set up with some of our wonderful tour guides and take a trip back in time as you tour our historic County Courthouse. Tours start at 1:30, 2:30 & 3:30pm. Tours are free, last about 45 minutes and are handicapped accessible. Please call ahead if you have a party of 7 or more, or to schedule a private tour 512-943-1670.
 
May 24- WWII Comes to Williamson County Exhibit Opening
Join us as we open our newest exhibit- WWII Comes to Williamson County. Explore the Second World War through personal accounts of county residents. 
June 7- First Friday
Stop by the Museum on First Friday! The new exhibit WWII Comes to Williamson County will be open and light refreshments will be served from 6 pm to 8 pm.  
June 8- Hands on History
Join us for Hands on History from 10 am - 2 pm, make a craft while learning about the county. It is a free, come and go event. For more information, click here. 
June 12- The Salon at Wildfire
Join us in the backroom at Wildfire for the Salon. This month, Dr. Craig Mayer will be speaking about how a Texan saved the wine industry. For more information and directions, click here.

The Williamson Museum is located in the Farmers State Bank Building on the historic downtown Courthouse Square in Georgetown, Texas.
